On March 30, 2017, KU-GETPPP students went on a field visit to the Asan (Waste) Resource Treatment Center. The Center Director provided a guided tour of the operations of the facility, allowing students to observe the waste disposal process and management at the facility. 

KU-GETPPP students moved on to the Oeam Folk Village giving students an opportunity too experience Korean traditional activities. Students made a traditional fan and mirror, in addition to preparing Korean traditional cookies. Students were also able to explore the village and see first hand traditional Korean buildings. 

The following day on March 31st, KU-GETPPP students field visit continued with the Hyundai Oilbank Daesan Refinery. Students learned about the oil refinery process, from the importation of crude oil to the shipping of oil products. Students were provided with a tour of the manufacturing facilities, giving a glimpse in to the operations of oil processing facilities.
