On November 15, 2024, the 3rd Korea-Mongolia Future Strategy Forum was held at The Westin Josun Busan, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy, resources, and healthcare. The forum brought together prominent figures, including former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (via video message) and former Mongolian President Enkhbayar Nambaryn, along with energy and healthcare policymakers from both countries. Academic experts, including researchers and alumni from Korea University's GETPPP Program, as well as industry and government representatives, actively participated in meaningful academic and practical exchanges.
KU-GETPPP
played a pivotal role in planning and coordinating key sessions, offering academic
expertise in discussing Korea-Mongolia energy cooperation strategies. Notably,
presentations by alumni Zoljargal Lkhagvatseren and Battsengel Lkhagvademberel
highlighted Mongolia's energy reforms, renewable energy initiatives, and the
challenges and opportunities for energy security collaboration between the two
countries. These contributions strengthened the forum's practical impact. In
the healthcare cooperation session, KU-GETPPP supported in-depth discussions on
hepatitis elimination strategies and pharmaceutical collaboration, paving the
way for new directions in public health partnerships.
This forum underscored KU-GETPPP’s crucial role in advancing sustainable development between Korea and Mongolia, showcasing its commitment to fostering global leaders and promoting international collaboration. |
