Special Lecture for KU-GETPPP students titled "New and Old Ideas on Human Capital Investment​" from Professor Neantro Saavedra-Rivano (Senior Researcher, Center for the Study of Market Regulation (CERME), University of Brasilia)​

On November 1, Professor Neantro Saavedra-Rivano from the University of Brasilia presented his work on ​"New and Old Ideas on Human Capital Investment​" to GETPPP students. The special lecture presented new perspectives on human capital investment and shared the economic theory behind capital formation and the paradox of human capital investments. "Although most of the investment in human capital is made by families, the return on that investment is reaped by society (in addition to the individual itself)."

Professor Saavedra-Rivano intorduced the notion of securitization of human capital, which can provide more a more efficient market mechanisms that promotes greater inter-generational financial flows in a more systematic manner that can create more equalization of opportunities, independent of regional environments and or family background.
