GETPPP student left for thier first “Workshop” in Jeju from 24 to 27 October.

On first day they have an orientation.

On second day, GETPPP experienced Jeju culture in Bijalim, visited Carbon free island energy future hall and had a seminar.

On third day, GETPPP visited two pioneer organizations in renewable energy. First, we visited “Tamra offshore wind power plant”. Tamra is the first company in Korea to build and operate commercial offshore wind power plants. In this power plant, 10 units of unit capacity 3MW generators developed by Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction under the investment and business management of Korea South-East Power were installed. This facility produces 85,000MWh of clean electricity per year that can be used by 24,000 households using average electricity.

Through the open discussion session with the CEO and an engineer of the company, GETPPP students were able to catch specific information about technology and system.

In the afternoon, we visited “Nanoom energy” which is leading innovation in the field of renewable energy through continuous solar power convergence technology development. This company developed machine learning solar solution and solar balancing technology which is core tech of Nanoom energy. This machine maximize power and profitability by optimizing solar power generation.

The CEO of the company pitched his company presentation to GETPPP students and share the knowhow surviving in the market as a private company. Students enjoyed the Q&A section with full of practical tips.
