From June 25th to 30th, 2023, GETPPP students participated in the KU-GETPPP Jeju Island Workshop. This workshop featured the Jeju Island Workshop itself and a GETPPP Alumni Meeting, offering a platform for active exchange of information between current students and graduates. Topics ranged from insights into campus life to discussions on future energy policies in their respective countries.

Additionally, the students attended The 2023 KIEA International Summer Conference, held at the Oriental Hotel ​Jeju ​from June 26th to 28th, for three days. During the conference, they engaged in sessions covering various aspects of renewable energy and export support strategies, expanding their expertise in renewable energy-related matters. They delved into topics such as Smart Cities and Sustainable Energy Systems, Stranded Industries, and Energy Systems, as well as South Korea's Indo-Pacific Strategy for Economic Security, gaining knowledge in areas related to smart cities, economic security, and sustainability.

On June 28th, the students had the opportunity to visit the CFI Energy Future Pavilion and the Electric Vehicle Battery Industry Center. They experienced the realities of climate change, received education on promising energy sources, and deepened their understanding of the functioning of electric vehicles.

June 29th brought a visit to the carbon-neutral island of Gapado, where they acquired knowledge about wind power generation and engaged in discussions about low-carbon lifestyles with residents on-site. They also visited the Korea Power Exchange, enhancing their expertise in related fields.

This immersive experience allowed GETPPP students to broaden their horizons and gain valuable insights into various aspects of energy policy, renewable energy, and sustainability.​
