From October 22 to 25, 2023, GETPPP students embarked on a workshop in Jeju, South Korea, to deepen their understanding of sustainable energy technologies.

The workshop began on October 23 with a visit to the wind farm operated by Korea Southern Power Corporation. This excursion provided the students with insights into the history and mechanics of wind power plants, including a close look at the towering turbines. The day's agenda also included participation in the Green Hydrogen Global Forum. Four of GETPPP students took center stage during the climate session, presenting on themes of global cooperation in clean hydrogen and energy transition.

On October 24, the focus shifted to policy discussions, where students engaged in sessions exploring global strategies for clean hydrogen and the broader energy transition. The day's activities also included a visit to an offshore wind power site in Biyangdo. This experience highlighted the eco-friendliness of offshore wind systems, further broadening the students' understanding of renewable energy sources.

The workshop concluded on October 25 with a visit to Daekyung Engineering, an electric vehicle charging station and hydrogen battery company. Here, students gained firsthand knowledge about the latest advancements in electric vehicle charging devices and models. The final stop was the Hamdeok Green Hydrogen Charging Station, where students observed green hydrogen vehicles in action and learned about their operational processes and safety features, particularly in the context of Jeju's environment.
