On November 4​, P​rofessor Lee Jin-sang from State University of New York Korea came to Korea University and had a lecture​ about “Current World Economy and Prospects of Korea’s ODA”. 

Based on Current World Economy issues such as USA-China Trade Dispute, NAFTA: USA, Canada and Mexico, BREXIT, AfCFTA(Africa Continental Free Trade Areas), Korea-Japan Trade Dispute, Prof. Lee explained Korea’s ODA characteristic and how to cooperate with Least Developed Countries(LDC).

He emphasized that bringing all ODA stakeholders together, and enhancing partnership activities will be a holistic approach. He stressed that Korea can organize a platform for dialogues between Korea and designated countries to promote cooperation including academia, research, NGOs, and other stakeholders together, pointing out that that any form of Korean cooperation can bring benefits to Korea and recipient countries, say ‘win-win strategy’.
