Summer Special Lecture Series - Econometrics Methodology

KU-KIST Green School and KU Institute of Economics Research prepared three weeks of Summer Lecture Series(Jul 27th - Aug 13th) to strengthen the energy econometrics analysis capability of GETPPP students.

On the first week, Professor Heajin Ryoo from Korea University gave lectures about CGE (Computable General Equilibrium) Model. 

The week after, Researcher Woonggi Lee from The Seoul Institute gave lectures about LEAP (Long-range Energy Alternative Planning) Model for four consecutive days. Researcher Lee showed to students the example of simple energy demand analysis using LEAP.​

On the third week from August 11th to 13th, Professor Dukpa Kim from Korea University gave lectures on Climate Econometrics.​ Professor Kim explained homogeneous effect and heterogeneous effect to raise a question whether different countries should be allowed to respond to climate conditions differently or not. He also suggested some proper equations to estimate the degree of climate change.
